| cold, frustrated, minnesota | Minnesota welcomes me back |

I went to the dermatologist today. To make a long story short, the 20 bug bites that I got on my back a few months ago never went away. After a few weeks I met with my doctor who referred me to dermatology… the only issue being is that even with a referral, dermatology takes forever to get in to. So I went even though the bug bites mysteriously went away while I was in New Mexico—there’s no way I was wasting a perfectly good, impossible to get dermatology appointment. Of course it snowed a lot, and it was terribly windy. And of course, I don’t have a car. So I took the bus as close as I could then walked a quarter-mile there in the cold, blowing snow. Oh, and I guess it was warm last week so lots of snow melted on to the sidewalks, then re-froze creating ice rinks that were now covered by the blowing, razor-like snow. I fell twice and froze my ass off. So, thanks Minnesota, for giving me further motive to leave you. P.S. I would have taken a picture of my feet in the snow, but the pain was just too great. P.P.S. I guess they weren’t bug bites at all but something else altogether. Bah. |
