One of my photographic quirks I want to try and get over is my hesitation to take pictures of people. I’m slowly getting over my reservations of taking pictures in public, but even if I ask to take pictures of people, I still feel like I am invading their personal space. I went out with D, some friends and one of the friends’ out-of-town friend tonight to the St. Francis for some drinks. I was taking a picture of my beer (above) when one of the people leaned over to me and told me that the out-of-town friend was a really great professional photographer. After that, I squelched on taking more photos. I need to get over that self conscious awareness of taking photographs in public, and especially of people. It’s something to work on in the next year, anyway. |
