Some might say I’m cheating today. Two pictures instead of one. I feel like I need to give a nod to my sister, since it is (almost) her birthday. But I love this picture of my parents. It describes visually how I often feel about them. Connected, but disconnected, always looking past each other and never quite meeting. They’re an odd pair. Married almost 30 years. Some good, some not, but I don’t think either would be happy without the other.
