I got three shots today. Tetanus, typhoid and hep A. They covered them with snoopy bandaids and proceeded to tell me that I shouldn’t eat things, drink things, cavort with chickens, wear shorts, and all sorts of other things I’m sure I’ll forget. I left with a packet of warnings, cautions, and causes of death. It’s already buried in my back seat. I picked up malaria pills and some antibiotics in case I get the traveler’s “runs”. My visa is in my passport which is safely back in my care. My plane tickets are hanging in my office so I don’t lose them. All the pieces of things I have to do are done. Now I just need to tie up some lose ends at work, shop for things I haven’t even thought about yet, and just go. I can’t wait. |
